Discovering joy in God
God should be the Supreme Treasure of our lives. He is infinitely magnificent and glorious. Nothing in all creation can compare with Him. We discover joy in God when God opens our eyes to see His splendor and transforms our hearts so that our souls are satisfied by Him above all else.

It begins at conversion
We first discover joy in God at our conversion, when we receive salvation in Christ and begin a new life in Him. This involves understanding that God is holy, that we are sinners, and that we deserve eternal punishment for our sins.

It also involves trusting that Jesus died in our place and received our punishment, turning from our sin, and submitting to Jesus as our Lord.

God is to be our Treasure
Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44, ESV)

Just as that man found a treasure so great that he joyfully sold all he had in order to obtain it, we must also delight in God and treasure Him above anything in this world. As we embrace Jesus as our Savior, Lord and Treasure, we will be reconciled to God and find a joy like no other.

This is no ordinary joy
This is not an ordinary joy that comes and goes, but an all-satisfying, eternally lasting joy that is rooted in who God is. God alone can truly satisfy our souls.

This joy keeps growing
Discovering joy in God does not end with conversion. As we follow Jesus, we will be continually discovering deeper joy in Him.

No matter how well we know God, there will always be new facets of His infinite glory to discover and enjoy. The more we know God and the more we know of God, the more our joy in Him will increase.

So, this is what we do:
We design our Sunday Services to focus our attention on God as we corporately give praise to Him and seek to discover more of His splendor, supremacy, and sufficiency through both Worship Services and Sunday School classes.

We encourage you to commit to weekly participation in a Sunday Worship Service, an essential part of life for followers of Jesus.

And if you do not yet know the joy of having Jesus as your Savior, Lord and Treasure, then embrace Him today. You will never discover a greater joy!
